About Us:We are a locally organized group committed to having fun, promoting and advocating cycling not only as recreation, but also as a means of regular transportation. We look to make our streets safer, enable local bicycle riders to ride knowledgeably and create a community for all the local bicyclists. We also look to serve the community through interaction with the local government, promoting the continued development of Merced as a bicycle friendly community.

- One-Stop-Bike-Shop: Serving the homeless of Merced with bicycle education and maintenance.
We look forward to "adopting a highway" - a span of commonly utilized bikeway on G-street north of Bellevue.
Prior Projects include:
- Placement of 4 additional "Share the Road" signs on the popular route to Snelling

One Stop Bike Shop:
February 16th 1-3pm: 317 E. 15th Street
In conjunction with the UC Merced Cycling Alliance we will be hosting and performing a bicycle maintenance clinic serving the homeless population of Merced.
Merco Cycling Classic and Foothill Century Ride:
March 6th All Day: come see the criterions downtown by the courthouse: Street fair with vendors and Peewee-Circuit Fun Race for the lil' ones! Come visit our booth!

Covered Bridge Classic:
March 13: 7:00am at the Merced Snelling School. All registration fees ($50) go to help at-risk children and youth. Century, Metric, 10 and 17 mile options. Everyone in the family can take part!
All Merced Road Ride for National Bike Month in May:
May 1rst @ 8AM: Meet at the courtyard outside of Kevin's Bikes located at 60 West Olive Avenue in Merced; to meet and ride with other local riders. Open to everyone; no charge. Coffee, Fruit and Bagels will be served. Supported ride with SAG and Pit-Stop at the turnaround.

Come Ride With Us!!! Rides are open to EVERYONE and ANYONE! Whether you are an avid "roadie" a "weekend warrior" or haven't been on your bicycle in 20 years; you will feel welcomed and we invite you to join us! You do NOT have to be a member of the coalition to ride with us! Please bring the entire family...we would love to see you there!
Saturday Fun Rides: Family friendly ride that meets at 10AM at the corner of N and 19th streets by the farmer's market. We meet rain or shine throughout the entire year...
Wednesday Evening Rides: The last ride will be on 10/21 until daylight savings kicks in!
Road Rides: These are aimed at the advancing cyclist who plans on taking part in some of the tours around our beautiful state. Check in on Road Rides and Routes tab for planned outings.
Helmets are required on all rides!
All rides have a "no-drop" policy: We regroup at regular intervals and don't leave anyone behind.
Monthly General Meetings:
We come together to address future plans for the Coalition the Second Wednesday of every month at 7pm. The location varies, so if you are interested in joining us, please click on CONTACT US or fill out the question form and we will get in touch to let you know where to join us! You do NOT need to be a member to join us at our meetings! Please come and meet us, as we would love to have you join our cycling community and give input about your cares and concerns.
